Amid changes in finance and technology (fintech), an opportunity emerged to bring years of research expertise to a new audience of alternatives investors. Conway Investment Research had all of the talent and technology it needed — it just needed a financial marketing strategy that would move the needle.

Paradigm created a truly end-to-end experience for the brand. With a renewed brand identity, custom investor portal and dedicated marketing collateral, Conway is poised to communicate its expertise and capture as much consumer demand as possible.

Brand Identity

Our partnership began with the name.

As a financial services branding agency, we recognized that very few fintech platforms are owned by research firms. This placed the firm in a league of its own, yet “Conway Investment Research” caused confusion among platform clients. Our solution was simple: standardize one great name: “Conway.”

Throughout our branding process, we prioritized a key differentiator in investment marketing. Rather than outsourcing research, Conway’s business is built on a commitment to quality data and actionable strategies for clients. This thought became the foundation for its financial services branding narrative and subsequent tagline: “Invest with Intelligence.”

Its new logo took cues from data points and light diodes, nodding to illuminating research while creating a “techy” feel. A color palette of warm greens and a deep navy instills peace of mind — mirroring solutions backed by the very best financial intelligence.

Web Design

Although both sides of Conway’s business were growing, its client base rarely overlapped.

Conway’s research and platform audiences have distinct needs — so we developed two connected websites. Each delivers a tailored experience while encouraging cross-navigation between the alternatives platform and investment research units.

Our design approach balanced consistency and individuality. Both sites share core navigation and styling, yet use unique content positioning and visual themes to tell separate stories. The alternatives platform highlights connectivity through dynamic city imagery, while the investment research site emphasizes stability through calming natural visuals.

To align with Conway’s financial services branding, we focused on experience over jargon. Recognizing the audience’s expertise, we established the brand’s value proposition with the service tagline: “Built for access. Backed by intelligence.”

Client Portals

Both Conway’s alternatives platform and investment research sites feature investor portals.

Each client uses a password-protected investor portal to access their individual data and manage their investments. However, these web applications were developed by a third party and didn’t reflect Conway’s new brand identity.

To encourage more cohesive investment marketing, our designers developed and applied UI style guides for each portal. These detailed guides outlined key colors, button styles, iconography, form styles and graphic elements to align the back-end portals with the same visual language used on the public-facing websites. 

From there, our software team brought it all to life — applying both functionality and user experience enhancements along the way.
